Well guys i don't know if this has been done before ... but here goes ... lately i have been listening to a lot of dream theater stuff ... i think john petrucci really kicks ass ... but trying to pick some of their songs i just got to thinking which guitarist writes the best solos ... i mean not just the ones which are lightning fast but i also mean solos that have a lot of feel involved ... i mean floyd solos may not be very quick but they have a lot of feel ... i would like u guys to just give ur opinions ... leave out the solo players like steve vai, satch, malmsteen and concentrate on the guitarists who play on various bands ... cheers :rock:
for me....has to be jimmy page..slash..satch...EVH...... some how hammets solos ..i find em pretty dull and boring :
@dr.saurabh ... i would agree with you about kirk hammet's solos ... even i think that they are at times very repetitive ... @death_metal .... hey man i'm sorry if this has been done umpteen no of times ... but i put this up just for informations sake ... u don't like it dont post on it in my opinion ... john petrucci is very good with his solos ... so is marty friedman ... :rock:
