which are the other potential "bangalores" of india ? (next 5-6 years, by 2010 say)

which other indian cities can become another silicon valley for us, apart from the one we already have. ???

I think calcutta has the potential to be the next silicon valley of india..
It has got the infrastructures of a high tech city.. and also mainly because of the companies like wipro, infosys and microsoft,, who are building new potential to the city's high tech growth.
the software park which Wipro build in calcutta is the largest software park in whole eastern india.
And one cannot deny the Fact tht after bangalore only Bengal had produced the largest number of engineers in india .It has got about 42 semi privatized engineering colleges,,apart from many other private engineering college.Calcutta has got the brains which can simply RULE THE WORLD..and it will surely be the next silicon valley of india

pune, chennai are much better.

 

pune, hyderabad, chandigarh, gurgaon should be promoted to bring a balance in the economics of the country... The country is way too much dependent on Mumbai...

 

Hyderabad. We're already very close, if not there.

 

i voted for hyd, gurgaon+noida, calcuta, madras, delhi and pune.

and i hope all of them become another bangalore.

and then a few years later i hope andaman, gwahati and jhumritaliya will also join the fun.

we aint gonna kick ass with 1 bangalore, 5 neither. we need every part of india to chip in.

well maybe u dont know thereare nearly 300 engineering colleges in A.P alone .And a fact Nearly 60 % of the enginners come from the 4 southern states
