well it depends on the sound u wanna produce n hoe well u can manoeuvre the guitar both r good but i consider finger being more original
It’s not about which is better, it‘s about your choice of music. Both techniques are equally useful in creating melody. While flatpicking is in general the preferred approach, fingerpicking is more intricate and enables you to play both flatpicking and fingerpicking tunes. Each has its plus points. Flatpicking is easier to learn while fingerpicking can be used to create complex melodies which would be impossible to play with a pick. Many are fascinated by fingerpicking but since they don’t make much headway they quit. Hence, start with the music you enjoy most and as you progress and develop your skills as a guitarist you can begin learning the other techniques (such as fingerpicking).
