What to play when somone tells u to play the guitar????

Ive been playing for the past one year u have been playing for the past 6 months and u can sweep pick wow how old are you?

 

Cmon...sweep picking aint no rocket science.its pretty simple..u just need somebdy to show it to u..

 

Few must know Picking techniques
flat pickg
slide pickg(crazy train )
alternate pickg

 

Ive not heard of the first two but i can alternate pick pretty efficiently Seriously dude u can sweep pick thats awesome are u self-taught?

 

It's pretty easy. But make sure that it is super clean.
Most ppl cant make out if they are playin a sweep properly.

Slow it down and den do it with atmost clarity!!
U'll feel the difference!

no. i am a shy guy. but i have my cover of Big Sur Moon in MP3 format. wanna listen to it?

 

play it the way you like it. i don't barre directly. i don't know what thats called but i roll my ring finger on those 2 strings. barring can sometimes fail.

And im working on sweep picking can play whitewash very nicely those 5 string picking patterns really screw me up

and yeah those 5 string patterns will be hard at first. try try till you succeed. what i used to do for a perfect sweep is, i used to slide my thumb over the strings with the pick that works

LOL the effect is cool(audacity?) but the Cover IS TOTALLY AWESOME man 11 out of 10 perfect delay u have over there


PS:-Using the thumb to mute while picking (could u give me a link to some youtube lesson on this) ?

 

thanks man yeah i did that effect in audacity

and no the thumb is not used to mute the notes. you just sweep the thumb along with the pick on the strings for practice so that the sweeping goes smoothly. while playing you don't sweep your thumb over the strings. ahh i don't know how to explain it.

my friend told me the technique so no idea about the youtube videos. sry.

 

k i didnt get that .....but can u suggest some Beginner sweep picking songs (preferably buckethead)???

 

i myself don't know any sweep picking songs. and i think sewwp picking songs are not for beginners coz sweep picking is hard.

practice C chord sweep picking and stuff like that.
