what is semi acoustic guitar used for

hey thanks Grestsch for your help actually i have got an electric one with complete accesories today i mean distortion amp etc it costed me quite a bit but now i have it
hey atleast i can record my acoustic guitar on my computer or i can tune it with a software to perfection.
what else i can say to defend myself

Annath is rite we have acoustic guitar which we cant connect it to amp for louder song
semi acoustic can be connected to computer or amplifier on any speaker we need only lead and a hole in it .but only acostic guitar cant connect in amp and cant sound louder.

 

hmm.... i think there is a misunderstanding of terms.

Semi acoustic normally means semi / hollowbody guitar. Dont know why they use semi acoustic....it sounds stupid..=D

Electroacoustic is completely different, its an acoustic guitar with a pickup (piezo or whatever) which you can connect to an amp.
