Here's another of my poems which I managed to make into a song. I had named it 'blissful folly' at first, but then decided to change it to 'the fool song'. It's pretty similar in structure to bob dylan's 'everyone must get stoned' but is not even half as good... The fool song I make a fool of myself when I’m drunk. I make a fool of myself when I’m drivin’ a truck. But I just don’t seem to give a damn, Cos a stupid fool is all I am. I make a fool of myself when I’m in love. I make a fool of myself when I’m at work. But I just don’t seem to give a damn, Cos a stupid fool is all I am. I make a fool of myself when I’m at home. I make a fool of myself when I’m alone. First, i think "Blissful Folly" makes for a better title. Now, the song is good, but way too simple. The message is very vague, it would be better if you can make the reader think.That makes it all the more interesting.Anyway, this is a start. Work on it, it should turn out great.
The thing is that i wanted to keep it simple, if it is a song about a fool, it should sound as if it has been written by a fool, LOL. anyway jokes apart, I'll try to improve upon it... thnx for the feedback, man...
As you said, very bob dylanish style... But I believe the song u wanted to mention was Rainy Day Women # 12 and 35... Anyway, it would make a good rock n roll song... why don't you make the music too?
