good job madhura. song Bm mein hai lekin.. chords for antara are very accurate. I dont agree to the E7 in the mukda.. i would use a C or C followed by fleeting E7 over there.

Also Some of your Gs are split as G-C in the song. but very good job nonetheless.

I am impressed.

 

just one thing.. yoru intro Tabs are in Cm while chords re in Am, but song is in Bm : are u planning to use all the alphabets? give the vocal melody in Dm :

Pukarta - Intro Tabs

OK MADHURA
Your intro is 95% correct, except for a few notes in the end which i am correcting here.
Also most importantly TRY to play pieces without using a lot of OPEN STRINGS.
This becomes important
when u want to sing along with the guitar, and if you find the pitch high,
you can shift frets to lower ones BUT if youre playing in the OPEN STRINGS how can you get lower than that.

SEE this is not applicable for all songs,
because say CHURALIYA and CHAND MERA DIL etc,
require OPEN STRINGS because of the arpeggio patterns.
you cannot transopse these songs,
BUT PUKARTA can be played in closed string position,
try my tabs

NOTE 1:
DO NOT THINK THAT YOU ARE WRONG
MOST NOTES I HAVE PLAYED HERE ARE SAME AS YOURS,
ONLY POSITION CHANGED.
JUST CHECK THE LAST LINE for CORRECTIONS

If you are interested in bar counting, note that all lines start in the earlier bar
the lines have NOTES that begin one bar earlier
in most cases in this song it starts at & 4 &

hey guys thanks for valuable feedback..... i'll definately try to improve ......
so it seems like i am pretty bad at figuring out key note or root or scale whatever its called ..... i have a question ... usually i assume such note and listen to song and relatively go up and down and tab it ..... can you give me some pointers on how to figure out correct key? ..... or is it just the matter of 'good ear' .... and mine is not good enough yet ......
also does it matter which key was original song in? or you should adjust to your voice? ....

 

it matters very importantly that you learn the song in the KEY which it was composed

Like i have mentioned earlier, finding the correct KEY to a song is simple if you already know your chords.
#1 - DO NOT DEPEND ON TAPE, USE MP3 instead,
OF COURSE THE ORIGINAL CD is BEST

80% of the times, its never the FIRST NOTE,
its the LAST NOTE on the mukhda which u can use for catching the key.
Example - this song - the last line ends with "pukarta chala hoon mein"
the "mein" is the C note
means the song is in the C key and if it contains the Eb note instead of E means its a MINOR

yes ALERIC, i goofed up in ENGLISH there
sorry
Example - this song - the last line ends with "pukarta chala hoon mein"
the "mein" is the C note
means the song is in the C key

Now after finding the KEY, u need to know if teh song is in MAJOR or MINOR
Assuming you know the notes of a C major and a C minor chord, it becomes simple.
If anywhere in the song (which is in the C key) if the Eb note is present, and no sign of the E note, means its a minor.
Pretty obvious simple rule actually.

The funny part is some songs, (in INDIAN MUSIC mostly) consist of a MAJOR and a MINOR COMBO

KEY is A
The first lines

The Gyarah's rah hits the C note instead of C#
immediately You play the A minor there
