which is the best grunge band? i know we had a thread like this before, but it didnt have a poll. if the thread starter of that thread will please add a poll to his, i'll delete this one. anyway who do you think was the best grunge rock band?
Pearl Jam for now... I never liked Nirvana all that much... I have to hear Alice In Chains.... Temme, Audioslave was born out of Soundgarden, rite?
Yeah, Audioslave are made up of One part Soundgarden and Three parts Rage against the machine. That is Chris Cornell (Vocals) from Soundgarden and Tom Morello (Guitars), Brad Wilk (Drums) and Tim commerford (Bass) from RATM. Their first album was good, the new single is kinda disappointing.
yeah..in a way. basically Rage kicked out their vocalist(forgot his name) and got Cornell from Soundgarden. personally i love Rage more than Audioslave..but Audioslaves gonna release more albums and who knows....
Its called "Be Yourself". Its available for streaming on their site. Its very pop-ish. I mean, I think they tried to do another 'Like A Stone', but it didnt work out. I hope the rest of the album is better.
sultan is not a familiar word here in the northwest audioslave aint northwest.. only chris cornell is.. well was and dude if u have this vote here in seattle, nirvana will win 90-10 or some insane margin like that. So Nirvana it is. STP aint seattle either. for sultans of seattle title other bands u have to consider= queensryche,presidents of the USA,heart,mmm me still thinking.. who else...

despite the name of the thread, its actually a "best grunge band" thread (and poll) and not a "best band out of seattle" thread. see the very 1st post and the poll question. queensryche dont count. and STP does, though they may not be from seattle.
when i was in india i also thought stp was grunge... but here in usa they r played more in the hard rock stations rather than the alternative stations.. i wonder why
you see, yanks got to "do different", "be different", "think different" etc. why even ali akbar khan gets grammy nominations in the "folk music" category!!
