Suggestions regarding Stranger Amp PM102

Hi folks,
I am planning to buy a complete gear. I have thought of zeroing in on Stranger Amp PM 102. The amp has got the following features:

* 2 Way Spaker System 12" (200W) + Horn Tweeter
* 120 Watt Output
* Stereo Input for Keyboard / Octopad
* 3 Input in 3 Channel with 4 way Tone Control
* Clip Control Switch

I would like to have reviews about this amp and also the worth of this purchase. You can also explain its features and advice a place where I can get it cheaply in Delhi. You can also suggest some other models/brands that are at par or even much better than this. Waiting for your valuable comments.

Well stranger amps r definitely nt the favourites around.

 

I have a stranger amps its not that good dude I have only 30 watt amplifier .... no idea about 120 watt amplifier..... try to get a marshall better than stranger any day

 

Hey Romancerig, if stranger are not among the favourites then please suggest me some other option. BTW amit25 has voted for marshall over stranger.

 

dude stranger may nt be da most talked about amps in da town.....bt trust me wen connected to a processor dey give da best effect even bttr dan marshall......da only plus point marshall has over stranger is dat its got a louder and clearer voice........

i connected my G2 to a stranger 80- watt and den to marshall 30 watt.....and da effects were much bttr on da stranger.......

IF you are planning to you Boss pedals like SD-1, MT-2 etc OR plugging directly to the amp - then Marshall will sound better.

In all other cases (which means using a preamp, processor, sansamp, modeller etc) Stranger will sound better.

 

I didnt suggest u,cuz i hav no xperience of any 100w amp or higher.
Btw theres no comparison btwn stranger nd (marshall,laney)
alternately u can chek kustom amps(similar pricing like stranger,bt better quality).

 

Thanks guys, I have thought of connecting my guitar to processor and then to the amp. So, I think going for stranger would be a wiser, louder and cheaper decision. Can you guys also suggest a good processor with a drum-machine under Rs. 5,000.

 

Digitech rp80... Priced arnd 5k nw... I own one too... I suppose dats the best fr dis budget. N ya, it has got a drum machine...

 

@ sam#3: How about going for zoom series, g1x or g2? Are you satisfied with the tones of different effects that you get from your RP80? Please write in some detail.

 

Rp80 is discontinued! Rp70 is the new one. G2.1u is around 7k.

How about KorgAX5G? Does this have an inbuilt drum machine? Can you give some more details about RP70? BTW, RP80 is available in Delhi.

 

M sure abt rp80. Digitech has replaced it with rp70.it has similar features as tat of rp80.
Check out their site for more info.FYI rp70 has an option to add xpression pedal.

Rp90 has got more effects nd an exp pedal. I think its around 8k.

If u get rp250 at such low price, dats great deal... N in case u strictly want to wrap it under 5k, rp80 will do... Zoom, i feel is not dat versatile, i tried my friend's G2.1u(he got it fr 7.5k 6 mnths back), sheer marginal difference... N as it is ur first processor, go fr digitech, its more user friendly...
Rp90 had similar features as rp80, but a bit high on price... N as far as my experience is concerned, i must say say i m satisfied, i cunt hv expected more fr 5.5k, thou none of the effects is extraordinary, but helped me in undstanding various effects... N nw as i play more of distortion, m goin to get a metallizer... Dats the best one can do, i suppose, if one is tight on budget. So i vil suggest u, rather den spending 10 k on a processor, get a cheaper one fr nw, save sum more money n get a pedal later on fr d effect u use the most...
