There might be slight variations as even the 'man' himself doesn't play the same tab twice in his gigs. Rather he repeats the 'melody' based on the right scale. The rest is 'improvisation' as he calls it. I once asked him if he has tabs of his songs, my intention being to ask him to share them. He said: "Sure. Only if I could remember them."
i am astonished mann..he just goes wid d melody n not tabs.. i guess we need to do d same.. i know asking this may sound a foolish question..but how do u improvise or make d tabs.. i mean is der any technique u follow? dese days i am practing tabs but dey dont cum in dat "flow" ..i mean in a melody .. cud u suggest sumthing n ty again
Its really nothing... Take some of your favorite songs, play them, and remember the notes pattern. Now: 1. Try changing the scale with keeping the pattern the same. Look for subtle changes in mood. 2. Another way: Learn scales. For eg. the scale of this song is C. Try changing few notes for adventure and figure out how the melody turns out to be. Sometimes try to anticipate which tone would sound which way, depends on your ear. 3. Or, for a complete random approach, create your own basic tune, and if you like it, add hammer-ons, etc for embellishments. For more advanced users, learn modes, etc. (which I never did.)
