    Hello everyone/anyone,
I need help in understanding exactly how to play chords.
I know what the chords are, so for example

    G---------C------------
    silli silli tapti raaton mein
    G---------------C------------
    jalton hoon mein barsaton mein
    G--------------C------------ ------D
dooba dooba har pal yaadon mein dil kya kare

Does that mean that I strum G once, then C when I reach the tapti part,
and then G once for 'jalta hoon mein', and C once for 'barsaton mein'?

The song doesn't sound right when I do that, and I can really use some help as playing tabs is easy, but chords really make the songs much more fun to sing and play.

    thanks!

you have to strum a suitable pattern until the chord changes
