I have a strange problem with my computer. PDVD, Nero Showtime, Winamp are all running fine. So is FL Studio. But Cool Edit pro, Guitar FX Box and all other applications that use the mic ports are not running. Cool Edit Pro says your mic port is being used by another program. The windows mixer console and volume control are unavailable. Control Panel->Sound ans Audio Devices say that no Audiodevice is installed. I had the Via driver. i reinstalled it. But still nothing. Windows sounds like at startup and shutdown don't play anymore. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
It happens wen u have an intel onboard sound card. Because, it can not support two applications running together. If you have any Extra soundcard, then configure the onboard for one program and the extra sound card for another. I dunno about NE other sound cards, but wot happening wid u is not abnormal. Dat's all me lord ! :
