I still cant pull it off cleanly at a 2/3 rds of vais speed..haha, looks like i should quit yapping and get back to practicing.

 

no no, it's an amazing practice riff. I was just saying that you won't ever get it. In fact, the only person I know who used to play the exact notes at the exact speed was Amyt Dutta and even he can't do it anymore.

 

Amen to that. Not to mention any song in the "anhiliation of the wicked" by nile.

 

@bjr- hell, i can still try: ...yes i know acheiving vais speed is very difficult....

But its a lot more complicated becuase its the only raag in which you can use all 12 semitones in passing.

also just knowing the notes is a very small part of the battle, which I guess you would know if you have ever attempted playing a raag
