    OK many versions of this also floating around, some almost correct, some are completely wrong
    So here is my version, this is how I PLAY IT

    BEGINNERS PLEASE READ EACH LINE CAREFULLY and TRY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I WRITE.
    READ IT 2 or 3 times and you'll get it
    THIS IS PROBABLY THE EASIEST PIECE TO LEARN
    BUT TOUGH TO EXPLAIN ON TABS and CHORDS since there are no lyrics

    INTRO
    =================================


    The intro on guitar is as follows

    LINE ONE is TIMING - it is ONE BAR of 4 counts divided into 16 counts for ease of counting
    LINE TWO is CHORDS - placed below the exact count where you should play it
    LINE THREE is STRUMMING - the upstroke downstroke pattern
    LINE FOUR is how you count the 16 counts

    D means D major which is X00232
    D2 means D suspended 2 which is X00230
    D4 means D suspended 4 which is X00233

    PLAY THE INTRO 4 times

    After this the chords during the whistle are as follows:
    Please note that i am charting the chords in a BAR WISE format.
    Each bar duration in a 4/4 timing like above

    Sign == / D / C / G / D / - play this twice

    Cross = / F / A / E / C / G / D /

    Repeat Intro twice
    Repeat the Sign and Cross
    Repeat Intro twice


    VERY IMPORTANT NOTE during the SIGN whistle part:

    STRUM the chords like strumming the guitar intro.

    As per the intro replace the D with the chords as per the chart,

    For instance
    the first chord will be the D played exactly like the intro using the D2 and D4

    BUT Where there is a C, you play C throughout
    The D2 will NOT be replaced by C2 - you play a normal C there
    BUT where there is a D4, you play the normal C chord along with little finger touching the G on first string.

    Where there is a G, you play G throughout
    The D2 will NOT be replaced by G2 - you play a normal G there
    BUT where there is a D4, you play the normal G chord along with little finger touching the A on first string.
    This chord is the Gadd9

    GUITAR INTERLUDE

    After this is the Guitar Interlude
    Its composed of 4 distinct lines (played twice)
    The tabs are as below

    REPEAT THESE 4 TABS ONCE


    After this is the Indian sequence which begins with 2 madals playing...
    (The madal is RD Burman's favorite rhythm instrument, its a small drum like instrument which is tuned to a particular note)
    Then there is the mandolin with santoor part which goes into shehnai etc and returns to the guitar intro.

    If anyone wants to know these parts respond back to this...

    i think this was misprint in line 2 on string D. changed from 4 to 2

    Edit: i saw the above post of urs now. i dont think u posted that intentionally it must have been misprint somehow. may be u might have copied from top and edited the numbers and forgot to edit this one i am sure of it. i wont call that as mistake u r perfect dude.

    the title music does not have the mouth organ.

    I think you are referring to the scenes where AB plays the mouth organ and the scenes of spaced romance between AB and Jaya??

    that is a lovely theme

    Great post Bandbaaja, but what do you mean by a SIGN & a CROSS? I looked around but could not find any information on the same.

    Hi Bandbhaiya,

    Can I get it all just like you posted Jeevan ke din or chand sifarish (to quote a couple). If you can confirm that its in the key of G then i will try and work it out. With Panchamda a key change may be expected :)

    hey can anyone play this theme on a mouth organ ?? ive been trying but cant seem to find some particular notes while playing it ..
