Shoaib Akhtar Banned for two years due to doping. A Pakistan Cricket Board drugs tribunal banned Shoaib Akhtar for two years and fellow-fast bowler Mohammad Asif for one year on Wednesday after finding them guilty of doping offences.

A statement issued by the tribunal said both players had been informed of the decision and have the right to appeal.

    Indians should dope.

If they are caught they all will be banned.
If they are not, we might start winning major tourneys.

    Its a win-win situation.

thats reallly sad. i hope they revoke the decision or at least allow the ban to be effective from after the world cup. if akhtar doesnt play this world cup, then we may never see such a kick ass pace bowler again.

^ i wouldnt think so .. the tribunal that made the decision wasnt made up of low IQ third graders .. if there was a slightest bit of chance that the drug was taken accidently, shoaib would have been cleared ..
the decision to ban him for 2 years actually reflect the severity of his act and the degree of his guilt ..

having said that .. i do feel sorry for the guy .. though i am sure he will make a tv appearance soon .. in a movie or drama etc.

Well, Fred Trueman turned out to be a real monster of a fast bowler even when he was 40. So its not as if its the end for this guy.

Akhtar posters should also be banned from ind-pak venues. It is enough to scare Dravid and party. Remember Ganguly blink his eyes
Pakis are never short of quality fast bowlers or cricketers
btw he took dopes to improve batting?
