hey guys... hav jus started to learn playin d guitar.. learnt jus d basic chords: C , A , D , E and G7 . had only 3 sessions so far.. and had to unfortunately discontinue my guitar lessons.. havnt played anythin other thn d KARZ theme wid d help of tabs on IGT. really REALLY really wanna learn to play more songs.. please help me...
first of all why have u, started two duplicate threads, in the english and hindi forums, the proper place for this was the beginners forum. just chill but take care next time
and ur next step get familiar with the scales.. and practice switching chords, u shud not form a chord finger by finger but as a group and ur chord change shud be instantaneous
Scales can wait. Learn to switch chord fast. Play 'Papa Kahte Hain' has only 4 chords. C, Am, F, G.Also, listen to 'Knocking on Heaven's Door'. 4 chords, G, D, Am, C. And start listening to music you really like. And I am not saying hear, listen.
life sans death , got a point, but why can scales wait?? don't u fellaws agree that it is the most basic thing... and dude don't worry the starting progress is slow but u'lll pick up afterwards, don't worry, and don't try to jump lessons
Focus, is one thing that a beginner should learn to handle. No point if you can play the major scale at 80 b.p.m and strum 4/4 beat chords of C and G with it, right? Better to learn a song. And develop on it. And after that go for a new stuff. Hurry, and you dun succeed quick. No point playing intro riff of SCoM, if you can't play the whole song. Better learn to play Californication.
play scales scales scales all day n all nite - after a week u will be so bored u will prefer to bang ur head against a wall - but after a year u will thank me -OR- pick up some songs, learn a few chords, pick up some riffs, bumble along, have fun but u will never be a guitarist its ur choice
It depends on how you wanna learn dude. If you wanna learn and have fun as well, then u r my type. For instance, I know the Pentatonic Minor scale. Is it necessary to learn the harmonic scale and the persian scale to create solos?
Bottom line is, Play to play not to work. Once you start having fun, all comes naturally. Get addicted. And, learn to create not copy.
well that depends on the person, and now the dude livinmydream must be confused by now, don't worry dude, pick up and learn a scale for sake of zing and me, and learn three chords for the sake of life_sansdeath
