There is nothing like a power chord dictionary, like their is for normal chords. Power chords are chords that are played on two or three strings. They are really simple to play and some times are considered cheat chords, because of their simplicity and ease in playing. Here are a few common power chords. ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- ---5--7--2--0--9--12---------------------------------- ---5--7--2--0--9--12---------------------------------- ---5--7--2--0--9--12---------------------------------- etc.. You get the idea. You can play them anywhere. These are the simplest form of power chords. And then we have these.. ----------------- --------------------------------- ----------------- --------------------------------- ------4--6--8---- ---9--7--5--3--2---------------- ---6--4--6--8---- ---9--7--5--3--2---------------- ---6--2--4--6---- ---7--5--3--1--0---------------- ---4-------------- --------------------------------- etc. Thes are used a lot. Then threre are the two string chords. --------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------9------7---11----------------------------- ---11--7--7---5---9------------------------------ ----9-----5--------------------------------------- etc.. There is no limit to these chords. You can play where ever you want. Like the regular chords, there is no fixed position for these power chords. Well, those are some common power chords.
