Hi, I strated this thread to know your views about pink floyd's music. What do you like/not like about thier music? I just want to get the picture that what do you think when you hear pink floyd's music. For me thier music is 'Ultra Music' :rock:
I like pink floyd, they are really good at a lot of things, from sampling in "money" to amazing guitar in "shine on you...". They were all genius composers in my opinion.
Now after 12 years since thier last studio album was released you might not hear much about them.But during thier days they were very huge.They are still a huge band.And i believe their influence on music will last for a long long time. pink floyd songs have so much in them.Sometimes when i hear some of thier songs it feels i have listened to it before becoz you might not know who has used it their songs also,influenced by pink floyd. Pink floyd's album's like : The Wall Dark side of moon The division bell Momentary lapse of reason were huge hits when released.Infact after 36 years of release Dark side of moon made it to top 200 best selling albums of year 2005.The Dark Side of the Moon is estimated to be the 2nd best selling album of all time worldwide and the 18th best selling album in the US.
Pink Floyd ist awesome..Meddle is my fav Floyd album. Gilmour as a guitarist is an inspiration to me. ( Better get back to the Shine On solos )
Havent heard much from them. I mean i have dark side of the moon and most of the times, i find it too boring to listen to.
Pink floyd!!! whew!! there music is immaculate.. while writting this i'm listening to "comfortably numb *solo*" (pulse version) i'll go for "ultra music" ..
NO. (< Full stop) Or maybe youve heard 2 of them. pink floyd does to me is what dream theater does to shaun. Well, it COULD be that its an opinion. There is a sligght possibilty
hahaha. Metal does to me what Floyd does to you. I like dynamism and creativity in my music, and I find that in bands like Floyd, ELP, Genesis,DT.
So do i.. Thats why i listen to bands like pelican, cynic, jesu (that doesnt count for dynamics), Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah...etc. Spiral architect, Sunn O))), Tool, pain of salvation *goes on*....blah blah... I just like it to be less boring. Doesnt mean that i remotley dislike any of the bands that you listed and its personal taste so, meh.
Does anyone know about the publius enigma puzzle connected to Division bell album? Some guy started it saying that there was a puzzle hidden within the album and anyone who solves it will get a reward.Does anyone know what is that puzzle?And has anyone solved it.Or it is just a goof.
