Organising a Rock Show.

Has anybody ever organised a rock show or been involved in the racket?

Id like to know how the stuff works. Thanks.

 

I think you get the permission, hire the venue, get the bands.
Maybe get sponsors before all that since there are people who dont want to pay to catch Indian bands perform.

The hardest part is getting the permissions. You need 20 or so offcial permission.

Is it the same throughout the country?

 

Permissions vary state to state. It can go up to 60 permissions from government and other offcials for a concert.

Depends on how the scale of gigg one is trying to arrange.

I assume, you will be interested in strating off with arranging small giggs, since you are asking this question.

In that case, go to a local club and ask them if they are interested in hosting it. If they are, then one doesnt need any licenses since its the clubs have them all. + I guess no one bothers wat goes on in there.

Acha, I heard from someone that Nazrul Mancha will not host anymore rock shows because people have complained about the noise....is it true?
