very very good post dude. yoru sense of harmony is very good. u seem to have a good carnatic base which si good. but dont get into the bad habit of doing every song in C. C is not sa and sa is not C. The song is in Dm, and i am doing this from memory.. so i dont have the charanam and interludes on me.. but main pallavi u missed a few chords.. or got them slightly different.. try mine i will give them in Dm.. Cm9 has the Bb note too. Csus2 or Cmadd9 seems better. I have similar progression on Dm scale which is the correct key for the song.
Jay, I have a doubt ... how do you fix that a song is in a particular scale? I tried playing both these versions and the difference is not very discernible to me ... please understand that I am an absolute beginner wrt guitar! Has this something to do with transpositions?

I would just call some chords differently thats all (naming conventions) Arugil nee [ Dm(9) ] ....Varuvayoo [ Bb(9) ] Unakkaga [ EbM7] Thirandhen [C] Manadin [C#dim] kadavai [A4(7)] The numbers in paratheses are added notes. Usually a 9th comes with added 7ths, but not in this case as this is "added" 9th. So D9th is D7th(9).
