Nothing Else Matters

Hi guys,

This is my first post here. Here is one of the most famous songs by Metallica.

I am new around here and I would really appreciate any feed back. This is the gear I used.

Guitar : Gibtone.
Processor: Zoom 505 II.

Nice, the tone was a little too thin but then that is your personal preference.

You played it well, although a little slow.
The riffs of this song involves playing a lot of bass strings (the E and A strings) somehow, I was not able to make those out.

+ U could ve added the leads and interlude too (yes the solo can be played with clean tone)



Overall very nice effort.

 

Thanks for the feedback, I had trouble balancing the treble and the bass from my amp.

 

Well to begin: U can try putting more MIDs.

It will radically improve the clean tone; ofcourse ensure that treble is high, otherwise the tone will get too muddy and notes will lack clarity.
However, more Mids will give more volume as well as the warmth of the tone.

Yeah, its slow.. I like it that way....

I tried balancing the bass and treble but still got the distorted bass sound. I guess

its the problem with my amp... I am using a Philips Powerhouse 280 watts as my amp

before the sound goes into my comp for recording...

I am a very big fan of Pink Floyd. The CD I am looking for is called "About Face" by David Gilmour, he's Pink Floyd's guitarist...
