I live in Kolkata and recently decided to take up the guitar .. after some difficulty finding a shop, a bass playing friend of mine told me about the Signature guitars in Kalighat. I ended up spending 3700 Rupees on a Signature model.. an acoustic guitar with a magnetic pickup. It is a cheap guitar but I am pretty happy with the tone and have been playing a lot. I have been having some fun playing it through some effects in ableton live but it doesn't sound too amazing through my 1000 rupee computer speakers! I also ended up agreeing to design a website for the store and I wanted to announce it to the forum .. i know there aren't that many guitar related sites in India and kit can be hard to find.
