hey i learn guitar all by myself. so i am quite ignorant about strumming. try to pickthe pattern by listening to the bakcground guitar. sorry could,nt help you out.
see if this helps slipknot... the pattern is like this down, down, up, up, down. the 2nd and the third beats and the 4th and 5th are tied, i.e played in rapid succession. I don't know whether there is any better way of explaining it. regarding the timing the pattern will be played twice for some chords and longer for others.
