Need to know about electric guitar

    Hey guys, i've been playing my acoustic guitar for about 1.5 yrs now.....and i think i play decently......now i wanna get an electric guitar but i know notin bout it

    so help me out and tell me about the various components in the electric guitar, how to set it up, amplifiers, soundboard, pick ups and all..........that would help a LOT

    well, bout the pickups :
    they r of 2 types
    humbuckers and single coils

    the humbucks r better 4 METAL
    and single coils 4 blues

    for instance a FENDER STRAT which is a guitar for more classical or blues genre hav ONLY single coils , but some STRATS do hav a 1 humbuck, they'r know as FAT STRATS and used by ADRIAN SMITH of MAIDEN !
