can some one please gimme the tabs for the raag 'nattai'.. i heard its a so called 'maelakarta' raag which contain 7 distinct notes.. is this song 'pani vizhum malar vanam' is this same raag? too many questions in a single thread.. sorry.. 'ld b very nice if any1 of u answered them..
I think Nattai goes something like, s-r-g-m-p-d-n-s s-n-p-m-g-m-r-s Again, I am pretty sure that this is the basic idea of it, I do not know exactly the progression. If the guitar is tuned in fifths starting lowest string to highest(BF#BF#BF# or CGCGCG, or another combination). F#-------------------------------------------------------------- B--------------------------------------------------------------- F#--------------0--3-4-5-----5-4--0-------------------------- B--0--3--4--5-------------------------5--4--5---3---0----------- F#-------------------------------------------------------------- B--------------------------------------------------------------- Note: This is only the scale not the "raga". To get it to sound like a raga, you have to try and emmulate the vocal version as much as possible. Cheers

i get u dude.. i just wanted the scale n u gave it thanx.. BTW should the tuning be C G alternately.. i mean thats the equivalent of sa and pa in carnatic..
I am not sure what you mean "alternatively? If you tune to say, C and G, then C is the equivalent of Sa, and G is Pa. Hope that answers your question.
yes it does.. by alternatively i meant C G C G C G tuning.. the way a veena or any other carnatic string instru. is tuned..
