Most Depressing Song .

Dirge....is definitely depressing. Or should I say...very very sad?? You lied actually may not be to you, but the mood is depressing to me.

 

OK, you could look at songs that way, but i only thought of dirge for november as melodic.

Have you guys heard this album Mechanical Animals by Marilyn Manson. Amazing stuff. At sometime I had really tripped on this stuff. All the albums before this and after this are crap. Dont dope and listen to this thing. You might even commit suicide.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned porcupine tree.

I could easily say that "Heartattack In a Layby", "The Start Of Something Beautiful" and "Arriving somewhere but not here" are one of the most depressive/melancholic songs i've ever heard.

And "Walk On Water" is pretty depressive i guess. (i dont know what exactly it means. Wizard, can you clear me up on that one?). Other bands like Earth, Blut Aus nord...etc can be depressive but in a completely different way

 

Just go and listen to Sentenced ppl...any album of theirs ...i would call them real 'suicide/death' ....they've disbanded now with their last album being "the funeral album"...i've every album of theirs...wont say anything more just go check em out and then vote for them in the new fantasy band knockout

 

A lot of My Dying Bride songs are very depressive. Tiamat's older stuff could be considered depressive as well.
