Which idiot gave you the info that it is a song from a bangladeshi band??:annoyed: The hindi song is sung by james, a Bangladeshi singer. The original bengali song is by an old Kolkata band,called Mohineer Ghoraguli(Horses of the sun).

Sorry then i must have got wrong information, i am very sorry i am making changes in the post ! And thanks for Corrections!

 

No problem. Just did not like a bangladeshi band getting credit for a Kolkata band's work. The lead singer of Mohineer Ghoraguli had passed away about 7 years ago. He was the father of band music in Kolkata. His name was Goutam Chattopadhyai, and his songs are still some of the most popular in west bengal.

 

Come down come down Deba! I am telling everyone the reality, The lead singer of Mohi'M'er Ghoraguli was Our Goutam da better known as Goutam Chatterjee. He was undoubtably the godfather of Bangla Band and also the so called Bangla Rock. He is still a hero to not only us, but also all the Bangla Bands especially Kolkata based bands. We Kolkatan Love him hery much. He didn't get the credit for his tune, in this section, that is why, it is natural for any Bangla Band fan to be angry. I urge to all the thread viewers to understand the situation...

It is very sad to see that even after about 30 years of wrtitng the song Goutam Da is not getting the credit he deserves. The director of the film, who is a bengali, should have put the name of Goutam Da or his band beside the artist's name atleast to pay tribute to him.
