How should I phrase this...Well, I like two songs really well- 1. Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd 2. Sultans Of Swing by Dire Straits I particularly liked the bits where, in the solos, the lead guitar plays a few notes really fast (I believe this is called legato; please confirm...?). Trouble is, though I have heard other songs by the two bands above, they aren't a bit like (or rather, not much like) the songs I have mentioned. This is the crux of my post - I want to find artists with a similiar style of playing. Also, what is this style of playing/genre of music called? Thanks in advance. :rock:
I know that (A short look on Wikipedia is it!) But say, Dire Straits is classic rock, right? All of their songs aint like SoS... And Freebird is the fastest of the songs which Lynyrd Skynyrd is best known for (these are - Freebird, Sweet Home Alabama, Simple Man, Tuesday's Gone). o.o
