well I believe that Both of these Band were Legends Recording Music Association of America rated them at no.1 and 2 as : 1 Beatles 83 units ( i dono wut the unit meanz) 2. Led zeppelin 78 units They were the First ones who shaped the form of Modern Musik forever... who do u think is Better ....n WHY ? NOTE :this is just a Dicussion...not a Competition !!!
Beatles introduced many things into music, above all you have to remember they were always a bit more towards a pop band so you could argue that they were the very early "commercial pop rock" music band - in one sense. But however they were the ones that brought a lot of things into mainstream rock music, in particular the distortion box. Led Zeppelin however were a totally different kettle of fish and listening to them now you can understand where a lot of both hard rock and metal music was formed, I don't believe that Led Zeppelin intended it that way there sound was a very much harder version of the blues rock that was being played at the time by the Rolling Stones, Cream, JH Experience etc. But like i said i found it a bit more harder. What else is that there are very few bands in rock music that have lived to tell the tale, if you want to call it that, and made breakthroughs wherever they went. Beatles and Led Zeppelin are two of these bands, another two are the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. But the question was Led Zeppelin vs Beatles and my answer would be Beatles as they were much more linked within the music world than Led Zeppelin were.
Beatles started it all ...they were one of the first ones who made the musik popular But Technically i wud say that Led Zep is more strong...They Used such Instruments e.g Guitars n Drumz...n changed the Course of Musik from Classical to the Modern No, doubt Both of the bands are the Greatest..
Hey JAZZ u r saying Led Zep is more strong coz they used Guitars n Drumz, what do u think Ringo Star, George Harrison, Lennon and Mc Cartney were doing in Beatles. Even Beatles had all instruments dude. But Maybe they didnt play it as good as Led Zep. Getting back to the topic of comparing, Guess each one is great in their own way. And the bands targetd diffrent set of Audience so you cant say who is better. And i saw some one mention that they commercialised it. Any way before these guys there were DOORS who did that and many other bands. Myself being a rock fan i would prefer Led Zep to beatles, coz the lyrics had greater depth. Anyway i have no probs with beatles(They intended to impress gals that fine)
Beatles were the Liverpool's global Band! Hey Guys For few years I have been living in Liverpool- home of John Lennon,Sir Paul Mc Carteney, George Harrison and Ringo the quadro of The Beatles. Liverpool is in the record books for producing the largest number of independent recodring bands in one city. And How did it start? I think Beatles had a lot to do with it. As discussed previously they commercialised the music and specially local music which was more towards RocknRoll. I have been in Liverpool for three years now and the number of amazing guitarists and vocalists I have met here is awesome. Beatles started their career as a pub band, which is still very very strong culture in Liverpool. Hats off to Liverpool and the musicians it produced for World! Thanks
@nanda well thats true that Led zep `s Lyrics hav more Depth ...like Kashmir , Stairways to heaven , ten years gone , Battle of evrmore n beatles had love songs like Money cant buy love, she loves u , love me do...let it be ,Yesterday Beatles wre strong in Making musik , Popularity ... n Led zep were strong technically ....
i wouldn't say that zeppelin were stronger than beatles technically. you have to remember that the beatles played with the distortion boxes and psychadelia well before zep. granted they were around earlier but did experiment with their sound much more.

Saan you forgot Plant dude. I think Page and Plant were the driving force behind Led Zep. Anyways, I will go with Led Zep. Beatles is a great band, but I personally feel Led Zep is the greatest band ever.

LED ZEP ALL THE WAY ...... :nw: :nw: :nw: :nw: :nw: Plants voice ... page's guitar and johns drums ... exquisite .. i think the music they produced was more matured and refined ..... Simply said ... they're the gods of rock ...No one compares to led zep .. I dont think i'll ever inspire to be paul mcartney ... but i could give anything to be jimmy page or robert plant .. know what i mean ... my music preferences are pretty consistent .... led zep gnr aerosmith ... tinge of blues present in pretty darn hard straight up classic rock ... Metal is a different kettle of fish ... n beatles dont figure in my music yet ... have heard em ... but never managed to understand the big deal ... or manage to love them ... sorry ... but for me its no contest ...
