learning what string should be used at what time

hello everybody,I just want to know that is there a method of playing any song.I mean like for say this line

Your face is like a dream

Now,I do know which strings are there in the guitar but how do I play this line.I mean I want to play line in the world and I also know the string but how should I play them.
