find a teacher first..cause it will be better for you...otherwise go to sites like guitar.about.com and read the articles there...but if u want my advice..get a teacher

Get a teacher. u can't learn the basics from the net(its a slow process i'm not saying u can't) or go to someone who plays the guitar and can teach u a thing or too.once u've learned the basics, u can get Everything on the net.
