Guys tis is my first post ... im a intermediate level guitar player... Well i heard tis song a couple of times ...n i think the chords are simple and are as follows - Primarily it uses - Dmaj, Asus4 and Am ... but the strumming here is very interesting. The Song starts like this ->> Dmaj = x x 0 2 3 2 use upward strumming for this . But make sure u strum in such a fashion that d individual notes are also heard slightly... Then down strum d open lower four strings.(do this fast) .. n mute strings immediately. DO THE ABOVE EXACTLY TWO TIMES . Then comes Asus4 = x x 2 2 3 0 (down strum once). As soon as u play the chord shift to the Am = x x 2 2 1 0 . NOTE : here u want to move from fret 3 to fret 1 on the B string. This pattern is repeated throughout the song... jst listen to the song carefully n then try this . It is actually very difficult to explain .. i hope i have made myself clear. NJOY THE SONG !!!
yes i have also tried - Gm , Cm and F chords... but the chords i fig out sounded better .. give it a try !
try these chords for kabhi kabhi aditi Try these chords...I found out the G minor scale and other chords. I was too lazy to write the song and the chords. So i took this from abhinav sonkar's blog..He has done a fantastic job of putting together all chords...Though ther are very few errors here and ther, 95% is right...Use these chords for playing the song.. --------------------------------------------------------------------- This song involves 3 major chords… Gm - 333553 Cm - 34553X F - 112331 The starting interlude has to be strummed as well as muted. Considering it to be a 3-beat sequence, hit the chord DOWN twice and then instead of striking on the 3rd beat, just mute the chord. That should produce the desired effect. If you find a better way, do tell me. The interlude chords are as below: Interlude Gm — Gm — Cm Gm — Gm — Cm The above steps has to be done for each instance of the chord in the interlude. Now the song starts… MUKHDA Kabhi ka(Gm)bhi Aditi zinda(Gm)gi mein yuhi koi (Cm)apna lagta hai. Kabhi ka(Gm)bhi Aditi wo bich(Gm)har jaaye to ek (Cm)sapna lagta hai. Aise mei koi (Gm)kaise apne (Gm)aansu o ko (Cm)behne se roke? Aur (F)kaise koi sochle every(Gm)thing’s gonna be ok? The first two lines of the above stanza can be played without continuous strumming i.e. by just playing the interlude. Kabhi ka(Gm)bhi to lage zinda(Gm)gi mein rahi naa khu(Cm)shi aur naa mazaa. Kabhi ka(Gm)bhi to lage har (Gm)din mushkil aur (Cm)har pal ek sazaa. Aise mein koi (Gm)kaise musku(Gm)raye, kaise (Cm)hasde khush hoke? Aur (F)kaise koi soch de every(Gm)thing gonna be ok? The INTERLUDE is played again once but it is delayed by half a bar. Gm - Cm - G ANTRA 1 (A#)Soch jara jaane(F)ja tujhko hum (A#)kitna chahte hai. (A#)Rotein hai hum bhi a(F)gar teri ankhon mein (A#)aansu aate hai. (Gm)Gaane to aata na(Cm)hi hai magar phir (Cm)bhi hum gaate hai(Gm). Ke Aditi (Cm)maan kabhi, kabhi (Cm)saare jahan mein an(F)dhera hota hai; Lekin (Cm)raat ke (Gm)baad hi to sa(F)vera hota hai(F). MUKHDA Again More repeat of INTERLUDE and chord progressions… ANTRA 2 (A#)Tu khush hai to la(F)ge ke jahan mein (A#)chhaayi hai khushi. (A#)Suraj nikle (F)baadlon se aur (A#)baatein zindagi. (Gm)Suun to jara mad(Cm)hosh hawa tujh(Cm)se kehne la(Gm)gi. Ke Aditi (Cm)wo jo bichhad-te hai (Cm)ek na ek din (F)phir mil jaate hai; Aditi (Cm)jaane tu ya (Gm)jaane na phool (F)phir khil jaate hai(F). MUKHDA Again… For the lead Intro... try these out... Place 3rd finger (ring finger) on 4th string (D) - 7th fret and 1st finger (index) on 3rd string - 5th fret. Now, pluck both the strings at once and slide backwards so that 3rd finger is now on 4th string 5th fret and the 1st finger is on the 3rd string 3rd fret. then pluck both strings once again. once again…this would give the sound of the first intro..hear the song and keep playing it till u get the timings right.. For the second one, do the same with with 3rd finger on 3rd string 7th fret and 1st finger on 2nd string 5th fret. Pluck both these strgins and slide backwards to 3rd finger on 3rd string 5ht fret and 1st finger on 2nd string 3rd fret. this shld give sound of the intro Enjoy playing the song

wrt kabhi kabhi aditi the chords of kabhi kabhi aditi are spot on... they sound rite perfectly... use expressions while strumming and u will get it right. Also barre them for ease of play
sandy_venkat 's tabulature is perfect, spot on .i couldn't figure out the middle part (A# one).. rest is the same way i play it . For those who think this is wrong .. i might be cuz u really need to concentrate on the strumming part to get the sound right! pratice the strumming i will surely sound perfect then!..Focus more on the upstrum and muting of the Gm and Cm chords.
