Arre yaar even I'm not spending a grand on Ian Anderson at 70. I'm only going because it's free. @alpha1-They're both 'prog' in some way, but I don't think they sound at all similar. Alan Parsons has a lot of synth and atmosphere in its sound..Tull is flute over blues-rock. That Allan Poe is the most excess-filled album I've heard btw...beating even Rick Wakeman's 'The Six Wives of Henry VIII' which has catchy song titles like 'Catherine Parr' and 'Anne of Aragorn'.
Waah kya philosophical baat kahi hai. I think thats not the reason..even if one can afford it, i think there are much better ways of spending 1k than watching Tull well past their prime. @Wizard-I'll try yaar.
yeah...U can get a lot or p0rn....sit home in boxers and have fun  from the money left get some snacks or get old Jethro Tull (live) stuff from the net or get some good DVDs and watch them or go for 10 more Indian rock gigs
not tht .. iots about the age .. when u do things ......... Anyway .. i shudnt have said tht .. so ditch it ...
first of all alan parsons project is NOT a pop band. they are prog and very good at it. (listen to "Eye In The Sky" if you do't believe me). second can someone please tell me where to get JETHRO TULL Tickets. badly want them. Haven't seen a good show since knopfler cos Buddy Guy never came to Bangalore . So i MUST experience this one.
