Ilaya Nila from Payanangal Mudivathillai (Tamil)

Type "Hindi guitar tabs" in google and click "I'm feeling lucky", and you come here, to IGT. But "Tamil guitar tabs" doesn't give anything useful - just some other forums where ppl are ASKING for tamil tabs but not finding them anywhere. Aren't there any tamils in this forum or are you all just quiet?

Heres another tamil tab from me. This is the first interlude from the song "Ilaya Nila" from the movie "Payanangal mudivathillai" - its the tamil version of "Neele Neele" but its quite different (Actually the tamil version came first, before neele neele). I will post the other interludes, intro, chords etc. later if ppl want it. If no one wants it, I'll just shut up.

 

We asked the same question and got a lukewarn reponse, ananth. I dont now if there arent many Tamilians on IGT or if they are too lazy to repond but if we see atcive participation by people who are familiar with Tamil guitar tabs, we would definitely do something about it. But untill they come forward, we cannot do anything about it.

 

hey ppl... me is interested in tam tabs... c the thing is that i do have the notes of maaaaannnyyyy tam songs... but all of them are in indian notation... i do know how to convert them into wertern notation... but that takes me a loonngggg time n welll... i'm kinda lazzyyy ... but now that i know there are other ppl interested me will come up with something too ......
@ananth ... plsss do keep the tabs coming.... i'm sure once ppl see these tabs they will chip in too......

Heres the 2nd interlude. I've tried to get the timing for the notes right. The pause between bars 10 and 11 might be 1 bar longer. Will get back with the rest of the stuff soon.

Sorry, I don't have a music notation format of this. There is little chance of me posting one, as I don't know to write music notation. But there are some applications out there that can convert tabs to music notation (like tabledit etc) that can convert tabs to music notation. Meanwhile, you can check out the version I've posted at wholenote, where you can listen to the tabs as you play. Heres the link:

The problem with me is i cud play on music notation as i started learning recently. i find difficult to read tabs and play.as i too love this song i wuld like to play sooner. Thanks for the tabs i will surely try out tabs.

Awesome job on the tabs! I happened to hear the play along version and its pretty much exact.

is the song in C#m or Dm? the original i see your transcription is in C#m I 've always done the song in Dm. If i remember correctly the cale was an inbetween one.. quarter step between C# and D.. i assumed it was D and my tape was slow..
or maybe its by design a quarter step high. I can transcribe the chords if some one can post the lyrics. The chords for the second interlude are very intesting. In my opinion the second guitar lead minus the jazz EP/bass backup amounts to nothing

You are right, the song seems to be between C#m and Dm! When I tabbed the interludes, I had recorded from the tape on to my computer. It seemed to be C# then, I dunno if it was my recording or my guitar was tuned that way at that time (it was a long time ago). I've been playing it in C#m ever since.
Great work on the chords! A small note: when you want to keep the alignment as it is, you must enclose ur tabs in [c0de] and [/c0de] tags(use "code" instead of "c0de") then it will appear like this:
