    2 reasons:

1)Either it might be installed as a memory resident program so that it keeps running as a background process as soon as your comp starts up.
    And you cant kill them.
2)Or your explorer process(ie the one that is a mandatory) might be initiating them for some reasons which even I dont know.

Try findin the name against it.I mean when you open the Task manager in the processes tab it shows which is the user who has initiated it.
If its system u cant help it and if its ur name down there then u got the solution

    death_metal_fan oh goody, it's a woody!

Do a scan for spyware (with a spyware scanner such as Ad-aware, Spybot or Windows Defender). Some malicious applications use iexplore.exe to 'phone-home'.

It might be a Trojan in disguise I suggest you download Kaspersky antivirus which is free for 30 days and run it on your computer. If there is anything malicious in your computer it will most probably catch it. No harm in trying right?
