It works the best if you sent it straight to PA system or line-in. If you send it to an amp-in, then the pedal as well as amp BOTH try to color the tone, and you may or maynot like the results. If you want sound samples, I can help. It sound more like modern metal than 80's thrash metal. In fact I remember demonstrating some tonal stuff with it long time back. Check soundclick.com/bloos, I had recorded stuff with straight into the recording deck compared to recording via amp (for both AMT metallizer and Tech21 tri-ac). Amp one sounds ultra bright and brittle IMO.
i heard your recording of sandman but it was not rally inpressed but then again you say that you has scooped the mids in that... can anyone provide me a sound clip for the metalizer or any amt pedal. I dont really trust the one on the webpage, it may be remastered.
