Been learning guitar for a year. I learned it on an acoustic. And right now, I can play chords, barre chords and couple of songs. I'm planning to get an electric. The cheapest in my nearby store costs Rs.5000/-. img508.imageshack.us/img508/5972/41528248415745169687745.jpg The guitar on bottom-left is for sale for Rs.2800-3000/-. He says its used for 1 year and is a Tronad make. I have zero knowledge about the models. So, how much should I pay for it?
Wont be any good. But if you are getting it, make sure that the intonation and action are right. I statred off with such a guitar, a givson to be specific. I took someone along to make sure that it didn't have any structural defects. 3000Rs is nothing in terms of what a good guitar costs. So if you are tight on budget i would say definitely go for it. Make sure everything works and that there is no noise. Don't buy a defective piece. You wont get any learning done, and you wont be able to resell it.
Wouldn't recommend buying it but if you're buying a shit guitar anyway 3k seems a bit much for a second hand... A brand new Givson costs ~3.5k and it comes with a 1 year warranty. Try to get a better deal, that guitar should cost like 2k bucks. But to be serious, don't buy either guitar. If you've really got 1 year learning experience under your belt you'll just hate the guitar. You're too good for it. Stick to your acoustic for now, save up a little more and buy one of the actual entry level electrics (Greg Bennett/Pacifica etc).
Unrelated: In the similar threads below there is a five year old thread with the title: "awesum lyrics-COME INSIDE OF MY GUITAR" IGT lyricians are awesome, man... What haunting lyrics indeed. EDIT: Apparently the original song was called just "inside of my guitar" until the sicko decided to make it part of his fan-fiction.
