You go as far as you want to go, you can only end up learning more. Self taught completely, thank God for the internet. So many good music theory sites on the web these days.
Learnt open chords in a one week workshop at IHC, after that all good classes were held too far away from my home...so +1 to NonSoVile's point ^
listen guyz i gotta tell u this go and search anywhere and u will read that once u devolope a bad habit then u cant get rid of it so i m going to the best teacher in my town and he points out hunderds of mistakes in a minute which i dont notice so need a teacher who can sit with u and watch ur every move if u r self taught then u will end up having a limited ability to play all u need is a good teacher to get at that point where u can start inventing things on ur own that,s what i think what do u guys say about this ????????
