It's important to me that you should know what made me write this poem: I was online the other day, chatting on messenger, but I had an end-sem exam the other day and was supposed to be studying. My mom heard me typing n started shouting frm the other room, so I quickly disconnected and said I was typing up a new poem so she cooled down. And in five minutes flat i had a poem ready to show her :grin: I couldnt think if what to write abt and suddenly remebered vini's poem abt her niece.. so i wrote abt a new born baby and as it was written in a hurry, it's kinda.. whatever... u decide.. And now, here's the poem (finally :grin: ) Hope Fresh out of your mother's womb You look around with innocent eyes You smile not knowing what all Happens under these bright blue skies Your world is pure Hatred is non-existant there From greed and jealousy For now you are spared You clasp your fingers around my finger As a tear flows down my cheek You almost look as if you understand As if, of beauty and hope, you want to speak For the moments I spend with you I feel peaceful and warm While the cruel world rests in oblivion I sew together the dreams that were torn You may not know who I really am But you fill me up with hope The pessimist in me dies slowly As I breathe again and learn to cope
Nice work....... do listen to song "mere ghar aayi ek nanhiii parii" from kabhi kabhi .... on the same lines.... But might have taken days to pen it down...
wow....after dayz..itz come.....i just love this gal,..bole to this gal ka poems...really good ones....CA,if i get time someday,im gonna make a file of all ya poems and gonna get them printed......i m in love with ya poems,...do keep writn....... PSST PSST:: never study for SEMESTERS.......and alternative way to make ur mom think u r studyin is .........keep up a word document open and wen she comes open it and tell u r workin on a project and doin typin work...its been my idea...the devils mind never stops...................

excellent poem trish...unlike myself and some other poets you are not notorious for certain poetry topics...(like for me...friendship...sorrow...love..love...and making love. : ..)...you have such great variety in your poems topics!!!...and yu do a good job always... :beer: :rock:
