thanx aj.. the link https://indianguitartabs.com/showthread.php?t=17052&page=2&highlight=teach+singing helped a bit. A few questions... 1)When singing while listening to a song should we: a)Imitate singers voice (try to) b)Sing in your own voice c)Sing with respect to the scale/pitch of the song. d)Sing in a pitch that is comfortable to you irrespective of the song. 2)Does singing: a)Enhance your voice (i.e it changes your original voice)? b)Just gives better control.(i.e you can hit all the pitches but original voice remains same)? 3)Does humming help?
a) Not necessary. b) Yes, but do not sing in that voice if it sounds really bad. (Try to change it). c) Yes d) No, but you can sing in a lower/higher octave. (Don't change scale if you are singin along) 2 a) It does make it softer/smoother (nicer to hear) b) Of course it gives better control, if you want to sing a C note immediately, you can. Original voice jus becomes plain smooth.
