Help buying electric guitar for playing metal

ibanez sucks balls and are cheap ???

since wen was 15k "low-end" for a guitar ..15k is a lotta money !!..and the whole idea of gettin a "lowend" grg170dx n puttin an emg81 is really stupid ..forget the "hetfield" tone ..first of all ..u cant even mix and match active n passive pickups..
anyway..u should probably get an ltd or an ibanez or a squier .dere will be a few guitars to choose from .play them all..and which ever is comfortable for u ..buy that ..my frnd bought a ibanez grx20dx for 12k and it played pretty well

n about the givson ..my frnd has one with an evo bridge ...its one of the most whackiest guitars ever ..the sound is really really "different" and the max sustain is probably 3-5 secs ...

 

dude dont tell me i dont need the guitar.........kk my bad messed with Ibanez lovers.

 

And mixing actives and passives isn't difficult, you just need different values for the volume pots. You could get concentrics with 500k for the passives and 20-25k for the actives and still do both a volume and tone for each.

grg170dx is a lowend ibanez guitar,but that doesnt make it a bad guitar... for around15k its quite worth it

i own an ibanez prestige and its amazing, the pickups are great, the fretboard is great and so is everything else...i.e, it doesnt suck balls

Pretty reliable..
Mine was made in China
Noisy Bridge.
Awesome harmonics.
Sustains like the guitars on meth.
