3.5K seems a little high for Mesa? Which model goes for 3.5? Has to be their high end ones. Anyway My choice for 2K: -------------------------------- 1) Fender USA Strat HSS (will change the pickups after buying). 2) A Fender Deluxe amp or similar. 3) A great analog overdrive/distortion pedal. 4) A Good multiFx for things like Delay/Modulation etc... Since I can buy all of these used I could still have some $ left after I get the above. I would buy good quality cables.
all the Mesa rectifiers are above 3.5K ... and the MArk IV are eve n costlier ... u can get Mesa preamps for 2.5K ... but then u will havta buy a separate amp + speaker ... i got this dat from their site ... if u go thru supplier webstes ... then mayB u get a better deal coz they sometimes wanna sell of their stock n for that they are willing to reduce the price

Jekyll Sahab, Maybe we both are right. Those prices maybe true in India. Here they are much less. One for the Newer models the F Series (comes in 30, 50, 100 Watts) is a killer. I have played through the F-50. Its a winner is pretty much in every department. Ask ronnie ... He would say its nuts .. and not enough !!!!!! His pedal board is worth 1 lakh !!!!!! So 2000 USD wont be enough for him ... I wud get a coustom made bass for 800 USD ... And a bass pedal for 400 USD ... And a vocal processor for 700 USD and a vocal pedal for 250 !!!!! == 2150 USD !! Oh i went above 2000
