fret board quality????

    wat is the differense between mapple n rosewood...how does it affect playability...which is better...

    dont forget ebony.... although i cant help your question. I own a rosewood and ebony fretboard guitar and dont see / feel any difference...ebony looks hot thats all

    The sounds you can get from rosewood or maple fretboards do differ thats what people say. Dont know why m i not able to make out the difference yet......:-(....

    Anyways Rosewood necks give you a richer slightly deeper sound and maple will give u a bright ringy sound.....

    thats all i know bout those Fretboards....

    only Eric Johnson can do that stuff....we are all ameteurs and what we can do is stick to what people say is good

    i find maple boards more smoother but tht could be my mentality...

    thnx guys...reason im askin this is fender gives a choice of mapple n rosewood...which to take....

    well maple gets discoloured over a period of time. And i hear its better than rosewood in some aspects

    He can even make out if the tone change caused when he keeps the Tube Driver pedal on a footstool instead of ground.

    Even if it gets discoloured u can always get it refurnished frm some luthier....and it takes years for the FretBoard to get discoloured.....

    For me both Fretboards are good......

    yeah doesnt make a big diff. ebony looks awesome for metal lol

    Maple - Sharp, Trebley, Bite

    Rosewood/ebony - Warm, Creamy
