Film music by bands

Keeping in mind Nil Nirjane by Cactus and the pathetic condition of bengali film music, do you think bengali bands shuld be regularly appointed to make music for bengali films?

The reason is
the level of bangla band is higher than the bengali films.
It's very sad to say as a bengali but it's the cruel truth...

yes definitely, for the one sheer reason that the standard will go up leaps and bounds.
just the other day i was listenin to a song from the film "shubhodrishti". it went "pagole ki na bole, chhagole ki na khae". practically sums up the music directors of bengali films and the people who like such music.

I partially agree to this. The reason is, as Deb pointed out, bangla bands deserve a greater place. Would you people like if a song by FOSSILS is put in some bangla film which has a typical story of 'bou , sasuri, ' etc?? Of course not. That's the reason. Documantaries should always be done with modern band songs. Like that in NIL NIRJONE. But, not those tolly films.

ahr.. according to you, you want the band members to bocome heros?? lolz.. Anyway, I wont like to see RUPOM acting. He is good at what he is. Porombroto is into this tolly business. But, he had a band, and now that has become unknown to all.:

So I see that bengali bands do need to make film music. Now we need to convey the message to some producers.
