Ecman Amps..Reviews needed!

Im about to sell of my Stranger so i need a new amp. I heard about Ecman selling 20w for 8k....anyone here tried out these amps..reviews needed ASAP

Anyway if you are looking at an amp under 8k I would highly recommend the Roland Cube-15 which I believe sells for about 6.5k. It's a modelling amp so you will get several amp models which are emulated quite decently. However the real treat is the clean channel which is modelled on the famous Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus amp which is a favorite among jazz musicians.

Seriously that is one amp worth the cash.

i've been pursuading him to buy that amp ASAP !!...* kabhi mera baat nahi sunega *
other than it being modelled like the Roland JC-120 , the Cube 15's distortion kick's ass !
especially the METAL STACK setting. never found an AMP in that price range with that much of gain

@dmf- yeah dude, i know about the Roland. But ecmans are tube amps..and a tube amp for 8k , even if it is of decent quality is a great buy.

Tube vs Solid State.


D00d if you play metal etc, what is the point going for tubeys?
On the other hand, if u play old school rock then Solid State will sound "duh"

yeah..i can boost(i do have a stompbox).
20w is for 8k
40w for 10/12 k( dont remember)

 

Where is it available? (Delhi/Bombay will do).

hey sridhar..I have heard of someone called bobby in Blore who makes tube amps at around the same price(8-10K)..any idea about his stuff?

 

I heard that bobby is'nt quite good with the amps. Well i have'nt played in those amps but ask ronnie he knows bout him i think

 

Bobby makes great practice amps at very low costs. His tube amps are fairly decent and definitely worth the money.

 

^^^^How much does he chare for a 50w tube amp? Have you played through his amps? Do you know if he can build amps according to the schematics i give?

 

AMT sucks with tube amps . Overdrive pedals like TS9 will really rule.

 

Really..AMT sucks with tube amps??..guess my Silver Dragon wud too..its good in front of a SS for sure.....better go for a nice (cheaper )SS while upgrading in the future...
