i tried them i didnt like the bad monkey ...confused between Hot head and grunge both seem good..the distortion on the hot head is really metal -type.
I like to play 80's type rock(ac/Dc , GNR etcetc) and a bit of metal

I currently have the stranger but Harsh is trading his MG10CD with me soon

Should i get some other effect instead of distortion..

The distortion on the Hothead or Grunge would most likely be better than the amp's.

I have the Grunge....it's good for high gain stuff.
It does hard rock pretty well too.
(Of course there are better pedals out there....i have it and like it though.)

The Bad Monkey is an OVERDRIVE!
It will only do its job really well on a nice tube amp. It's actually a really nice overdrive.

all pedals mentioned above for modern rock...
if u want to sound like 80s then u need to go for line6 or any other boss models

    80s metal/rock = Boss OS-2
    Or the likes.

Ofcourse, your amp's gonna have a nice clean tone of its own, otherwise the Boss will sound like a can of bees.

Also can anyone tell me the settings they use for distortion ???
