Is it possible to get distortion on an accoustic? I mean a semi accoustic and fixing the distortion pedal??? Thanx, DHiM
Not much. The output of the pickup in your Acoustic is too low and even at high gain, the gain will sound kinda semi diry but the tone will be ugly as hell. There are some hollow bodied jazz guitars which can do the job.
^^ same but i can tell u one thing ... if u use a digital emulator - then mebbe u can get the distorted sound ... but well u just need to go to the shop n chekc out ... b.t.w. what happeed to your plan of buying electric? dropped already? u had 12 K budget right?
Make your own pickup and then Use a booster and then a dist pedal. You WILL DEFINATELY GET ANY AMOUNT OF DISTORTION. If you dont believe me add me to your yahoo messenger.. I'll show you how much dist i can get from my Acoustic..
I guess I will buy a accoustic for now.... Save some more money around 20K and then go in for a quality elec guitar with the right gear. HindiRox - I will get back to you on yahoo in some time. Thanx everyone for the valueable info. Regards, Dhimant
For 20K you will still get only a cheap guitar. It doesn't make much difference between 10K and 20K if you know which brand to chose. But 50K really makes a difference.
50 k??? May be you cud gift me one on my birthday... Anyways my birthday is this monthend in case u decide to gift me one
Hey 20 k is good enough for a guitar. I would spend more probably depending on sound and brand i would select a higher end model.
@Hindirox. Ok your Jackson's body is not modified but what about the neck : . You still think we dont know you  How is your drumming dude.
