difference between a guitar tab and chord

    helo friends,

    i can play all the cords but what is the difference between a chord and a tab?

    Tab = tablature = method of representing what you play, on paper.
    Chord = two or more intervals (which can be loosely said = 3 or more distinct notes) played in same context (usually simultaneously).

    You can tab a chord.

    e----12--
    b----12---
    g----12----
    D----12---
    A---------
    E--0-----

    Apparently, this is also the Em7 chord.
