Hi, I need help on deciding the first step of learning guitar, I know for sure that i want to learn electric guitar, but after lot of reading on internet and asking around i get to know that one should learn acoustic guitar first. But i want to know what people who are really into guitar say, So i am open to all Suggestion, advices. Depending on my mood mostly i listen to Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses, Scorpions, Nightwish, Eric Clapton, Chris Rea, Meat Loaf,Eagle's and the list goes on. DUDE!!!!! Learning the guitar is like learning to write writing..... You dont start with writing with a pen ..... you use a pencil first!! So plz buy an acoustic guitar first and then practise on it for about 6 months or so and then plan to buy an electric guitar... I have seen guys get scewed up after stating with an electric guitar. sure they have cool sounds but have little or zero skills in there bag. So better start with baby steps thanto start running
^Bullshit: Electrics help reduce the strain on your fingers and make learning easier. And its way cooler, right? But ets not get into that. If you are serious get an electric. If its time pass, get an acoustic. Though I am not against acoustics.
