Blues has a different scale from the major scale. It is quite close to the minor pentatonic. You can use any scale you want really but the real blues sound comes from the b5th. Of course B has 5 sharps... B C# D# E F# G# A# B where is the confusion?
hmmm i've never used audacity for recording... thanks for the info do you have any tips on how to reduce disturbance? especially when recording audio and video at the same time?
I know very little about recording so maybe I'm not the best person to ask. The easiest way to recude disturbance is to buy a good mic. The other way to do it is to tightly wrap a cloth around the mic when you record. It usually eliminates a lot of the small noise. For the electric, I think it's good to use headphones while recording to minimize disturbance. I'm sure better people than I have made threads about this online though.
